  • Is your milk pasteurized?

Yes.  It is illegal to sell unpasteurized milk in Canada.

Pasteurization is the process of heating milk to a temperature high enough to kill any disease causing bacteria that may be present in milk. This is done to safeguard the health of our consumers.  Pasteurization does not significantly affect the nutritional value of our milk.

  • Is your milk homogenized?

The majority of our milk is homogenized to provide a smooth drinkable consistency.  It prevents the butterfat or cream from separating from the milk by breaking up the fat into smaller particles. Without homogenization, the cream in the milk would separate from the skim and rise to the top of the container.

For those who prefer un-homogenized milk, we offer it in 946 mL glass milk bottles at many independent natural food stores throughout Ontario.  Look for the bottle with the pink cap.
