Timeline ~ A Brief Outline

This is a brief history of what products Organic Meadow has launched and the events that have taken place since our co-op was formed.

1989	The beginning of OntarBio Organic Farmers Co-operative. The Co-op's birthplace is Durham, Ontario with 30 members.
1994	Organic Cheese under the Country Meadow brand name.
1995	Organic milk in 1L., 2L. cartons and 4L. bags.
1996	Organic Light cream cheese, 0.1% organic pressed cottage cheese, 0.1% and 2% organic plain yogurts, organic light sour cream.
1998	Organic eggs added to product offering. Organic Frozen vegetables - 5 different products in 500g. pkgs.
1999	3.8% organic plain yogurt.
2004	2% organic chocolate milk, 14% organic sour cream and organic ice-cream.
2005	Organic Butter, shelf organic stable milk (white and chocolate).
2006	2% lactose-free organic milk.
2007	Organic Swiss cheese. Organic Egg nog (seasonal only).
2008	1.5% organic vanilla yogurt. New organic milk pack sizes - 250mL 2% white and 2% chocolate milk, 1L. 35% organic whipping cream and 1L. 10% organic half and half.
	The first Canadian organic 2% cottage cheese.
	Manitoba Organic milk in 1L, 2L jugs, and 4L jugs. Produced by the farmer members of MOM's (Manitoba Organic Milk Co-operative).
2009	To commemorate the Co-op's 20th. Anniversary, a series of celebrations across Ontario were planned, including the celebration Open House of one of our members Pieter and Maria Biemond who also celebrated 20 years of organic farming. At most of the events, Organic Meadow presented concerts by Canadian singer and songwriter Murray McLauchlan.
	Launching of our organic milk in glass bottles called 'Traditions' to be sold in local independent natural food stores.
	Organic Ice-cream in new packaging (946 mL and 473 mL) and flavours, including raspberry chocolate chunk, praline dream and coffee creme.
	B.C. organic milk to be sold in BC in 1L., 2L., and 4L. jugs.
2010	The official Grand Opening of our new milk processing plant in Guelph.
	New flavour chocolate chunk orange swirl ice-cream.
	Organic Kefir - available in lL. jug format in 4 flavours - plain, blueberry, raspberry and strawberry. A cultured dairy product similar in taste and texture to drinkable yogurt, made with 1% milk with 10 bacterial cultures added.
2011	Organic Meadow wins the Outstanding Marketing Campaign Award at the Ontario Organic Awards for our Clean Livin' Music Video.
