Organic Meadow Celebrates Organic Week with the Launch of Seven New Products
September 20, 2012
(GUELPH, ON) – Organic Meadow Inc., Canada’s first organic dairy company and one of Canada’s leading organic brands, announces two new lines of certified organic products.
The first is five different flavours of Greek Yogurt, including No Fat Plain, 2% Plain, Strawberry, Blueberry and Honey. The Greek Yogurt category has seen a large increase over the last couple of years. “Our consumers asked us repeatedly for this product, so we took our time formulating and perfecting our recipe, ensuring that it is made the traditional way with wholesome, organic ingredients.” said Don Rees, CEO of Organic Meadow. “Greek yogurt is not only a great source of calcium, but it also has twice as much protein when compared with regular yogurt.”
The second line announced is two single serve granola topped yogurts. They are available in two flavours ̶ Apples’n Cinnamon and Cranberry Currant. The yogurt is slightly sweetened with organic honey to take away some of the bite of plain yogurt. “Everything in them, including the apple pieces and cranberries, are certified organic,” says Rees. “We expect them to do well in the “Grab and Go” sections of the grocery store because they are so easy to consume, reasonably priced and, of course, delicious. They are a nutritious breakfast treat or they can be sent with the kids for school lunches.”
It’s no coincidence that the launch of the new products line up with Organic Week. September 22-29, 2012 is a week of celebration for everyone in the organic industry. “We felt that launching our new products was a nice way of celebrating Organic Week this year,” says Jennifer Hyde, Product Manager at Organic Meadow. “You will see the products being demonstrated in a variety of stores and on promotion for the next couple of months.” These new products are a welcome addition to Organic Meadow’s ever expanding product offering.
