Organic Meadow Launches New Website!
February 7, 2011
(Guelph, ON) Organic Meadow is taking its mission statement “...decreasing the distance...” to the next level by launching a new website that not only features and celebrates the more than 60 Organic Meadow products, but the 100 family farms that produce the milk, eggs and grains.
The new website (www.organicmeadow.com) officially launched on February 4, 2011 and includes unique elements such as an interactive map of Ontario identifying the various Organic Meadow farms and the products they produce. As the successful farmers’ co-operative heads into its 22nd year, the website puts the focus on the farmers and includes farmer profiles, quotes and features.
There’s an ”Ask The Farmer” section where consumers can write directly to an Organic Meadow farmer and get a personal response. The “How It’s Made” section includes interactive photos which allow consumers to see exactly where their food is coming from and how the final product is made.
“In creating this new website our main goal was to increase our consumers’ understanding about who Organic Meadow really is,” said Jennifer Whiting, Product Manager, Organic Meadow. “We feel it’s important that people get to know our farmers and therefore get to know their food better. Consumers can be just as proud to purchase Organic Meadow products as our farmers are to be part of the Organic Meadow family.”
The new website also includes a social media component which links the webpage to the company’s Facebook page - where live updates will appear. There is also a store locator plus a product locator that will enable consumers to discover where to purchase the Organic Meadow products they’re seeking. Extremely scalable, the new Organic Meadow website will grow and continue to educate customers about organics and sustainable agriculture with new information added as the company evolves.
