Lactobacillus, bulgaricus, streptococcus, thermophilus, acidophilus and bifidus.

What are the benefits of these cultures?
The following benefits were found when ingesting lactobacillus and acidophilus:

  • Production of B vitamins and lactic acid.
  • Production of lactase, which helps digest food.
  • Improvement of the absorption of minerals such as calcium, phosphorus and iron.
  • Prevention of bad breath caused by indigestion.
  • Contains cholesterol reducing properties.
  • Production of natural antibiotics and hydrogen peroxide.
  • Inhibition and reduction of yeast infections.

Why is there skim milk in Organic Meadow yogurts?
Whole milk is 3.8% fat, so to get low fat yogurt you must use skim milk. Skim milk powder is added to our yogurt as a milk solid to ensure a creamy consistency.
